The 2021 UCR registration began on October 1, 2020. The fees for the 2021 UCR will remain the same as for 2020 UCR registration.

UCR fees are due annually and normally collected by the UCR Board of Directors in the 4th quarter between October 1 and December 31 for the upcoming year. The start of the 2021 UCR registration period will begin on October 1, 2020, as the fees for 2021 period will remain the same as for 2020 period as established by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). February 13, 2020, the FMCSA published in the Federal Register, the final proposed fees (https://www.federalregister.gov/documents/2020/02/13/2020-01761/fees-for-the-unified-carrier-registration-plan-and-agreement).

As such, the final 2020 UCR, and each subsequent year fees are known and UCR registrations can now be submitted with processing agents with systems that account for the established 2020 UCR fees. In order to be fully compliant with the UCR mandate, if your company operated as INTERstate during year 2020, you must pay the past due 2020 UCR registration fees.
